Maybe the birth certificate is still good, but I doubt you can use a TTC pass.  Why would US Immigration officers be familiar with a TTC pass, unless they are stationed at Toronto Airport?  And it is not a secure document.

Suggestion:  get a passport.  It reduces the likelihood of hassles at the US border, it is required for admission to most countries, and it is the one form of ID that is accepted abroad almost universally.

You need a birth certificate as well as a government issued photo ID such as a driver's licence.  I'd suggest that you use your student card to go back to class in order to learn how to spell.  "youse" is spelt use.

It is doubtful.  In fact, the US has gotten more strict about American citizens by requiring a passport to cross into Canada and back.
