Can identity theives open credit card accounts even if you're not old enough to have one?

Apparently they can ruin your life and open credit card accounts etc, but I'm under 18 and I'm not old enough to even have a credit card, so what do you suggest I do?

  1. Theoretically they could lie about your age.  I don't think it's anything to worry about; since you don't have any financial information out there, it's hard for thieves to steal it :-)


  2. not only not ruin it, not affect it in any way whatever.

    if you feel they have, inform the sheriff or fbi

    and put on utube or elsewhere that HEY DUMMY, I am not

    even 18..........how stupid.........can you........

  3. They shouldnt be able to open credit cards and things, but I would still find a way to report it just in case.
