Can imagination really cure some sicknesses?

I heard somewhere that the remedies to some illnesses is by, literally, daydreaming. Is this true?

  1. In medicine, sickness has both a physiological and psychological aspect

    and if either one, or both are defected, a state of disease could results.

    and either can effect the other!!

    by meditation, daydreaming...etc.. you satisfy the psychological aspect...and it would then improve your body's ability to heal.

    Also, prayer does this. But it depends on your religion. for some religions (and i absolutely believe this!!) say that health and healing come from god...what we do by taking medicine is just the reason!

    It is also scientifically proven, that curing the mental state by such techniquies has a huge impact on the person's ability to heal. this could also be seen when doctors use placebo therapy!!

    the power of the mind has the ability to control many physiologic processes in the body!!

  2. Well, when i'm sick i sometimes close my eyes and imagine things while listening to music and i really do feel better. So it's probably true.
