Can infrared heat lamp's bulb be used to see through smoke?

want to see through smoke about 20 meters length to overcome fl factory fire.Can a muscular pain infrared heat lamp of phillips have the infrared of such wavelength? if not then from which can i have this at niminal cost?

  1. You can not see Infra-red. It is below the range of human vision. Infrared radiation has wavelengths between about 750 nm and 1 mm. Human vision starts at 750nm.

    So to say you can see with an infrared lamp needs qualifying. You will need goggles to enable you to take advantage of the light.


  2. yes the Infra REd rays can penetrate, thru snow, fog and mist.

    It also passes thru smoke.
