Can ingesting your own blood make you sick?

settle an arguement, we agree that it can but for different reasons. can it make you sick and why?

Blood is an emetic, meaning it will make you vomit if you have enough of it in your stomach.  Also, your body isn't very good at dealing with blood outside of the vascular system.  It can be very damaging to certain types of body tissues.

It would depend on how much you ingested.  If you cut your finger, it bleeds and your suck on it.  You won't get sick.  But large amounts could upset your stomach and make you vomit.
