Can insecticide made from pepper mixed with dalandan?

  1. The mixture you are referring to is d-limonene (extracted from the peel of the dalandan) and capsaicin (extracted from the pepper).

    D-limonene has limited effectiveness as an insecticide as indicated in the paper below producing 27% mortality in Japanese beetles.  Capsaicin has not been shown to have insectidical activity, but is likely added to the mixture to function as an insect repellent and to disperse current infestations.
