Can jawbreakers ever expire?

can jawbreakers ever expire? I found a jawbreaker in my room well, actually, it was on my desk and it is wrapped tightly in a little bag and it is like airtight, also I had it for months, but never opened it. Should I still eat it?

I will personally be offended if you let that jawbreaker go to waste.

I once found a jawbreaker from 2 years ago sealed in the original plastic and i ate it and never got sick, but i dunno different companies have different ways of making their jawbreakers.
