  1. Yea, but don't count that one guy out in the 24 car. Quietly in the top 12 in points.

  2. As long as he stays in the chase, I wouldn't bet against them.

  3. He has the skills but I don't know if he's got the horses this year.

  4. Jimmie has an excellent chance to win his 3rd championship in a row.  They have run quite a bit better than the beginning of the season and he is sitting in 6th right now.  With some good tracks coming up for him and one of his best ones this weekend, I think he will start to climb back into the top 5 soon.  The last 10 races really favor him and they are familiar with the pressure of the chase.  He has never finished out of the top 5 in the final standings, that should show you right there that he definitely CAN win it, though it will be very difficult.  There is always an element of luck, a driver will have to avoid problems in the pits and on the track in order to close the deal.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  5. Not gonna happen.  He just doesn't have it this year.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  6. Nope.  Not gonna happen.  If he, Rick H and Chad keep going the way they are (cheating), they will be banned from NASCAR competition, PERMANENTLY!!!!

  7. You can never count Jimmie out he has the best crew chief in the business. I think he is just  waiting until the last part of the year to turn it up a notch. Last year he ran good at the start of the season and slumped off in the middle, and just before the chase started he turned it on and walked away with it. He is the 2-time defending champ for a reason and cream always rises to the top.

  8. no he cant this is kyles year to win or lose

  9. Let's see, he cheated on the last two, I'm sure he'll have no trouble cheating on the third one.

  10. I didn't think that he could win 2 in a row, so I'm sure not going to count him out ever again.

  11. T-bone Knows whats going on !!

  12. Yes he can! Don't ever count Jimmie out. He can get back there, he has a great team and crew and Chad Knaus knows his cars.

  13. Once a champion, always a champion, and never underestimate the heart of a champion!

Your boy's good enough to do it, but he has to get past my boy first, wink, wink..

  14. He'll need to step it up a little bit and will need some luck, but last year he didn't do so great until the second half and dominated the final 10 races. I won't count him out until October, then we'll see where the 48 team is at. He's going to have to outrun Kyle Busch and maybe Tony Stewart to do it.

  15. Nah.  His car is now wrapped with a National Guard/Amp decal.  Didn't you know?  I saw yellow and blue under it when he had an accident.

  16. He's not having a very good year, so I'd say not this time.

  17. This is Jeff Gordon's year.

  18. Of course he can win it.  He's proven that the only races that matter are the final 10.  All he needs to do is be in the top 12 (heck, with that team, I could probably manage a top 12 finish in the standings) after 26 races.

  19. He's gonna have to step it up from how he's been doin lately but I don't think you can ever really count Jimmie out as long as he makes the chase he could have 3 championships in a row there's no doubt about it!!!

  20. Absolutely! GO 48!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Sure he can!!!! GO 48

  22. Any thing is possible but  i doubt it

  23. if jj tries REALLY hard, he can do anything.  and if he loses or crashes i hate him... ;-)

i think he can - that's why before the season began, i put money down in vegas on him (and my boy rowdy, AND junior - yes i said it) to win it all.  i still think knaus is testing/holding back a little something for the chase.  they've said many times they aren't worried so much about winning this year at all - they just need to stay in chase contention, then they'll come to life...

ps. "nascar is lunacy" above, the only lunacy i see here is a guy wasting his time (and ours) by being in a place he claims to not like, and where he is definitely not welcome...

  24. Sure he can.  He has proven what a Champ he is already.

Tbone ~ you are tooooo funny!

  25. Oh yeah, never count out him or Chad Knasus. They are a great tandem.

  26. can he yes, will he no!

  27. anything is possible
