Question:

Can judges get in the way of a national crisis?

A judge now has stopped oil drilling in Michigan. Never mind that the mindset of all Americans is to be less dependent on foreign oil. Who said judges were smart? Intelligent, yes, but smart? Get off the gas!

This is just a foretaste as to how, in the end, the EPA is going to be disbanded. Too h**l with what we need to stay a sovereign nation. Just don't kill the yellow-bellied sap sucker! Drill here! Drill now! Save money! Money doesn't buy happiness...money is happiness!! Trick.

  1. Exactly why did he stop the drilling? He's probably following the law, we wouldn't want a judge to do that would we.

  2. You, my friend, are somewhat misguided.  The judicial order in question blocks a 2005 permit that was apparently issued without following the legal requirements necessary to begin the drilling in an area bordered by a wilderness preserve created by a 1954 land bequest.  The "national crisis" you refer to, I presume, has something to do with energy costs, which are currently being driven not by lack of supply (notice any gas lines lately?) but by speculation and greed.  The big "money" involved here was George Mason's donation of the land to the State of Michigan.  Respect his intent and the law.
