  1. yep. food is fuel to an athlete. should only put the good stuff in your body if you want optimal performance.....


  2. I'm not sure how scientific this is....or whether it was just in my head

    But when I used to eat junk food before a swim.....it was really hard....but it's the same for when I would ride my bike too...(I trained for triathlon)

    Junk food doesn't give the body the fuel it needs so of course it will not work as efficiently....well that's what I've experienced anyways..

  3. any food can cause you to slow down if you eat right before, try to avoid foods with high sodium level.

  4. Yea it can. Once i've had pizza before a race.  And my time slowed down liek 5 seconds.
