  1. What pedestal says is true.  I have seen a few patients progress even after the cornea transplant.

  2. No, the rigid lenses are only there to stop the cornea getting any worse, not allowing the cornea to become any more 'cone shaped'.

I have been wearing rigid lenses for 7 years now, although according to an orb scan my corneas are not getting any worse, though I still have distorted vision without lenses.

As someone said above me the only way to cure it permanantly is to have a cornea transplant.

  3. Take a look at the Keratoconus Foundation website: http://www.nkcf.org/ , specifically the Treatment Options section.

It doesn't look like either glasses or lenses can provide a permanent cure, they can just help your vision.  It looks like only implants or transplants would lead to a cure.

  4. No.

Rigid, hard, contact lenses may be the best, and very effective, treatment for many years, but they do not improve the rigidity of the cornea.

The only permanent treatment is a corneal graft, replacing a partial or full thickness of the cornea.

The "reshaping" contact lenses worn overnight in normal eyes do not have a permanent effect, either.  There is no direct ocular equivalent to the teeth's orthodontistry.
