Can l record t.v programs with a VHS tapes( with a converter box) when we go digital in 2009?

when l tried to record something on a digitial channel, my VCR said l could not record anything on digital, how can l record something w/ VHS tapes in combantation w/ a converter box and a older T.V set? Can l record anyting on T.V w/ a VHS tapes when all T.Vs go digital next year?

  1. Why would you want to continue to use VHS?

    You should buy a DVD burner to record your digital tv programs.

    You need to upgrade to digital tv anyway...perfect time to upgrade to DVDs too.

    I know this doesn't tell you how to do what you want...but seriously you need to keep up with the technology upgrades.

    To answer your question. Yes, with the Digital to analog converter you will be able to record on your VCR but as the other answerer pointed out VHS is pretty obsolete now.

    DVD recorders are becoming very cheap and that might be the direction you should take.
