There are two records that Lockett has. The most goals for one player in a season (107) and one for most goals ever (1360 in vfl/afl).

107 in a season is possible this year if he keeps playing like he did against Essendon. He was unstopable.

The 1360 is unlikely. I say unlikely and not impossible as this season alone we have seen players with injuries that would have been either season ending (Malceski from Sydney) or multiple weeks (Coughlan from Richmond) be healed quickly with technology. By saying that, in a decade a player may be able to play until he is 35 or more. As such more time equals more opportunities to kick goals.

No - he would have to kick a hundred goals a season for the next 14 seasons. Nothing is impossible but it would be close to impossible

but lockett has more goals at a younger age

played over 270games which is a fair effort in itself

franklin would never have to have a serious injury...not to mention franklin is very versatile meaning he spends/ is capable of playing games in the midfield/halfforward line or even defense which results in less goals

it can be done but u would imagine EVERYTHING would have to go right

He's young and fit. Of course he can. But it won't be easy. He'll get some injuries along the way and he might just make it.
