  1. yes you can just not noticeable so anyplace that can be covered up

  2. Don't get an obvious tattoo if you want to be a respected lawyer. Sure a law firm might hire you but you'll prob always have to hide it and clients might not want a tatted up lawyer.

  3. While they can not outright discriminate you because of the tattoos, law firms are far less likely to hire you. I am sure you are aware that there are more qualified law grads than positions at top law firms. They have so many choices, and if there looks to be anything that might cause a problem (like a judge or justice who is not keen on your tattoo) then they will be far less likely to look to you as a candidate.

The upper back tattoos are no problem of course, but any of those that will not be entirely covered by normal clothing cause lots of problems in the work place and detract from your overall image... which is of vital importance in our field.

  4. If you are female, no on wrist or ankle....they can be seen.. Guy, who will see on your ankle....Stay professional if you enjoy your job...

In the U.S. they have what is called a dress code, if you don't want to follow, don't apply...

  5. In the US it is illegal to not hire someone for tattoos but the interviewer may say something else makes you not qualified for the job, they don't have to say straight up that they didn't hire you because of a tattoo they can say things like lack of experience or doesn't seem qualified. Also, say you covered it up on your interview and then ended up showing it one day, in Nevada an employer has the right to terminate ANY employee without any reason or any explination so even if they didn't know you had it you could still get fired for the ink (at least in some US states anyway). I suggest putting them somewhere else that is always covered like your back because until you know how your employer feels about body mod it is best to keep it out of sight.

  6. Well-off firms in London, yes- it's too likely you'll be interviewed by some pompous, overweight, balding man who thinks tattoos are only seen on punk-rockers who sit round smoking all day and break shop windows at night.  Your ankle should be fine, it'll be covered up by your socks and trouser leg while you're at work.  As for your wrist...maybe get something that can fit under a wide watch band?

    Good luck!

  7. in the us we have discrimination laws so they cant say they dont want you because of your tattoos.. i'd hold off on the wrist for now but the ankle go ahead.. its not like your getting naked durning you interview or at your future work.. so how would they know you have anything on your ankle
