I was 18 when my optometrist told me that I have a lazy eye in my left eye and I was wondering whether this only appear later in life or that I had this since I was a child but it just recently occured.

  1. no you have had it since you were born. all it means is that your eye muscles on one side and not as strong as they are on the other. make sure you try regular eye excersises for that eye to make it stronger. for some people it only appears later in life but for others you can see it when they are younger.
