  1. No, it won't kill you. It's a simple test to tell how much how much charge is in a  battery.

  2. There is no reason to think l*****g a battery will shorten your life, unless it's a really powerful battery.  Sounds like fictional superstition to me.

    If you're going to l**k a battery make sure it's a 9-volt.

  3. Yes if u can l**k a car battery by getting ur tongue on both the terminals lol!

  4. It's true.  Depends on the battery.  A nine volt will probably just hurt, but can give nerve damage.  A car battery could stop your heart.  Batteries are poisonous and should not be played with like that.  Play with slurpees and brain freeze instead.

  5. Why would anyone WANT to l**k a battery in the first place?

regardless, why 8 years? Why not 7 or 9?

Why not be immediately shocked or electrocuted from the static charge within the battery?

Why not use some common sense?

  6. If you l**k a battery that's strong enough to kill you, it'll take a lot more than 3 years off your life.

But no, l*****g a battery normally causes no permanent harm.  It's just a dumb thing to do, like hitting yourself in the crotch.

  7. It depends on how big the battery is if you did it with a car battery it might.

The average 9 volt for toys, remote controls, etc will not take years off your life.

  8. d**n right

  9. Go ahead give it a good l**k. NO l*****g a battery wont shorten your life. And how old is your friend?

  10. lots of things can shorten your life span.  batteries do have mercury in them, which is a highly toxic metal.  You would not get much by l*****g one but if you licked enough batteries you might have some problems.

Probably best to not l**k batteries.  If your addicted get some help,  I'm not sure there is a batteries anon. or not but maybe one of those other AA type groups could help.
