Can light be transformed to sound?

Yes.  Clearly, light can be transformed into an electrical signal, which can drive a speaker, which produces sound.  For example, a mp3 and be converter to a digital light signal using a laser.  This can be converter to an electrical signal, which can be processed into an analog sound signal, which can drive a speaker.

If you have a powerful enough laser beam it will heat the air it travels through, causing expansion, which will create a sound.

It would not be very practical as a loudspeaker though, and you certainly wouldn't want to stand in front of it!
