  1. Yes. It can pass through a window.


  2. Yes.  But as said before it is unlikely.  Though, if you're really afraid, stay away from electronic devices, and don't use the telephone.  The lightning can come through these and you could get shocked.

    Alright, so apparently I'm incorrect.  But, the chance of being hit by lightning outside is very small to begin with.  So, the chances of getting hit indoors in an apartment, which presumably has a lightning rod of some sort, is essentially zero.

  4. Yes it can if you are close to an outlet or by a window. Don't listen to that other guy. He's just trying to score two free points. Lightening can travel through an outlet and can come right through the glass in your window. Your body has electrical current which attracts the lightening. Be careful.
