Can limewire get my laptop viruses?

I can if you do not have a good Anti Virus software installed. I have limewire since 2 years on my laptop with no reported problem. I running NOD32 as a protection to my laptop.

its possible for limewire to give your computer a virus. you have to be really careful. me myself, i am too afraid to download limewire so i just use my friends computer being as though she already has it on hers.

Of course it will.  Anyone who installs Limewire is just asking for it.

It does contain viruses, not just one!

Don't download it, it's illegal, someone got fined £12,000 for P2P file sharing recently, which is what Limewire is.

Don't download it. Get your music legally, from iTunes, or get some fresh air and go into town.

Yes, Limewire installs adware. There is also a possibility that the files you download will contain viruses also.

I advise you use a torrent program such as bittorrent or Utorrent. These will not install adware.

Yes! limewire can defiantly give your laptop virus's!, depending on what kind of anti-virus software you have installed you can set a virus scan as a nightly\weekly\monthly scan of your hard drive, which is done automaticly, this will let you know if any viruses have come through.
