  1. I would have them dry cleaned!

This will prevent lining from shrinking, which will happen if washed!

  2. The usual advice for washing/cleaning curtains with a lining attached is to have them cleaned professionaly because the lining can shrink. I  have a set for my living room which says dry clean only but I put them one at a time in the washing machine at the lowest temp. which on my machine is 30.

I've done that many times and the lining has not shrunk so far.

  3. If there is no tag on the curtains with cleaning suggestions, you are going to have to try to guess at what type of material they are made from.  If they're silk, then dry clean them.  If they are heavier material, you would probably be ok washing them.  But I would definitely use a gentle cycle, cold water only, and be sure not to overload the machine.  I also would let them air dry, I wouldn't dry them in the dryer.  Most likely they will be fine.  Also take care to use a gentle soap on them.  Nothing too harsh, with added bleach or anything in it.  If they're dark or brightly colored, I'd use Woolite.

  4. What do you mean by lined or do you mean creased. If so handwashing or drycleaning is better.

  5. Dry cleaning is best, but it's amazing what a lint roller can do for curtains if they are just dusty
