Can liquor (tequila) remove the effects of a birth control pill??r=1220076215?

I had s*x with my girlfriend and i used a condom. i then realized that it broke(somehow and but i didn't bust.) She said she had a few shots. can she get pregnant? I'm really flipping out and she tells me not to worry about it.

Studies have shown that alcohol has no effect on birth control pills.  if your girlfriend has been taking her pills correctly then you guys should be fine. However keep in mind that birth control pills are not 100 percent effective. You guys should not worry too much about it and i recommend her to take a pregnancy test around her period time just to make sure... =)

The only way it can affect it is if she drinks so much that it causes her to vomit within 3 hours of taking the pill. Alcohol does not affect the pill though. The only thing that affects it is if you vomit or have diareah within 3 hours of taking it, if you take antiobiotics and some other medications. If alcohol affected the pill there would be a lot more pregnancies out there!
