Can looking into the sun with your eyes closed still hurt them

I'm not sure what you'd see but it shouldn't hurt them unless you spend the day like that - then you'd have a terrible sunburn.  I'm providing a reference for safe viewing of solar eclipses just in case this is what you're aiming for.

yes it can because even if its closed.. its rays can still penetrate your eyes.. ^_^

yes it can go thru the eye lid skin please be careful so that u dont damage your eyes
