  1. You can train almost any type of bird to talk. I know my parakeets that i used to have would never talk and i had 9, but the most recent one i did could mimic words.

    So yes, it is possible

  2. I guess its possible. . .I personally have never seen or heard of one that talked.  Budgies can talk, tiels can talk so why not a love bird.

  3. I have owned lovebirds as pets for 20 yrs.  Not one has mimicked or "talked" like my cockatiels or parakeets.  Some I've heard kinda mumble to themselves.  They whistle and can repeat whistles.  Sometimes that can sound like a word.  But this is very rare and I think coincidental.  I wish I could hear one talk!

  4. Does he chirp or actually talk? Sometimes if they chirp while listening to you is called "talking". If he actually talked, I'd be pretty scared.

  5. i don't think they can, never heard of, but the higher species of parrot family can imitate words, so may be this bird is trained very patiently.

  6. oh yes! you can train almost anykind of bird to talk, i tought my parakeet (budgie) to say hi, what you working on now ______my name.

    (in that order)

    lovebirds are talkitive,

    have fun!
