  1. it depends on how low it is if just a little then no but if theres none then yes it will

  2. Yes.

Most fuel injected vehicle have the oil pressure gauge/sender tied into the fuel pump for the benefit of those who don't like to look at their gauges and save their engine from being fried.

  3. because your piston rings wear out and you no longer have any compression to produce enough power for the next stroke of the engine.

1 intake - piston goes down and sucks air in

2 compression - piston goes up and compresses fuel

3 power - spark plug goes off and ignites compress gas and explosion forces piston back down

4 exhaust - piston goes up and squeezes burnt gas out the exhaust.

think of piston rings as the rubber gasket in a syringe, only their metal amd need oil to help form a seal, and prevent them from wearing away, and wearing away your cylinder walls.

  4. no but it wont sound very smooth running

  5. if its got to the point of the oil that low and your engine stuttered and stalled most likely the engine siezed up and your gonna have to buy a new engine

  6. yes it can all the newer vehicles now have built in safety that when the oil pressure gets low it will about shut the fuel off ,its done this way to prevent you from running one dry on oil ,but if the sending unit goes bad they will sometimes shut the car off or make it run bad,gm has had this on their cars for years,as far back as 1975 that i know of on some of them, good luck.

  7. After 21 years of driving a company car I'll say  that most car problems people have are due to not maintaining the car by getting it expressed lubed every 3000 miles. If you failed to check and change the oil along with other basic maintenance matters of a car you will pay dearly. Low oil could be a serious problem. Get the car in the shop asap.

  8. no it cant unless it is really really low

if its that low the engine will be destroyed

the problem will be something else
