Can low resolution pictures downloaded from my families web site be converted into higher resolution pictures?

We had a family reunion and all the pictures posts on the family web site are low resolution. Can the resolution be increased for better picture printing quality?

NO. If the information isn't there, there's nothing you can do to improve the quality. Once the resolution of a picture is lowered, even if you increase it in a program, such as Photoshop, the picture will still look awful when printed.

If you want good looking prints, you will have to go back to a high resolution original.
