ok, i have been like really obsessed with using less energy, partly because we save money, and because it is helping the earth.

I don't need the contrast on my computer up all the way, so I turned it down to about... 44%. Will this help with how much energy the computer is using?

  1. No the contrast doesn't have anything to do with power consumption. the brightness would though

  2. not at all the contrast isn't run on the energy the computer is using, its basically a state in which you change the tones of your picture which is run from the lights at the back of the screen, it won't save energy

  3. Not as much as turing it off.  Don't you want to save all the energy you can?    Or do you just want to save a little and not inconvenience yourself?
