Can mankind still survive the environment 5 years from now?

knowing the status of our ecosystem do we still have a chance to survive if worse comes and we suffer the results of our negligence to our environment.

Whether you like it or not - We are still an oil based economy.

Oil is the life blood of transportation, production and products.

Trucks,  Trains & Planes are heavily impacted by government regulations on oil = refineries can't supply enough ULS diesel because of refining capacity. Which environmentalists have stopped all new refineries for about 30 years.

So when the economy falls apart from inability to produce & transport - You can thank the environmental movement.

We can easily survive the environment - we may not survive what the environmentalists have done with the ability to ship & produce food.

I would think so. I have a feeling it'll take more than five years to do significant damage, unless something drastic happens.

the environment doesn't kill people, people kill people over disagreements about allocation of resources.

Who knows, it's the future, anything could happen, nuclear war, major fires, earthquakes and hurricanes and tsunamis or none of the above.

Well, we survived the ice age and famines that were predicted by environmentalists in the 1970s so I'm sure that we'll survive the imaginary catastrophes that they're predicting today.

5 years is too short a time frame for Doom's day. Mankind extinction is not expected atleast for our generation.

Sure, and many more to come... except one thing.. it will not be the environment that will hurt man or us hurting it.. it will be a nuclear war and that is predicted by many -- remember the documentaries on these? They were right almost all the time! One was right all the time... the Bible, if interpreted correctly.. we will have a third war.. a WWIII! It will be a religious war and nothing will stop it! It will kill most of mankind, but there will be intervention from the Creator, who, by the way, sent a deceiving spirit to get some to believe in evolution.. Reminds me a Star Trek episode where Captain Kirk was warned that the aliens could get the crew to push or dial all the wrong buttons or dials! There is a story in the Bible where the armies of Israel were told to wait and watch. The enemy began to kill themselves and none were left alive! They walked into that camp and took the spoils. Earl
