I'm writing a paper and now that I think about it, it seems like they would be excluded but I'm not sure.

  1. No...and if they somehow make it into the selection process, they'd be excused by council anyway.

  2. It's all up to what country you are in. A quick call to your local court house and ask them. Put the source in the paper you are writing. There are a lot of people that work in Law Enforcement, from the person who you ask the question at the court house to the judge. Also Police Officers, Doctors, Lab Tecs, Local County Clerks, Social Workers and much much more. Maybe visit the court. You will find a question about some ones job is flattery and people will give you a lot of info

  3. In New York they can be summoned to appear as a juror.

But the odds of them be chosen to actually sit on a criminial case are nil.

They might be chosen for a civil case.

  4. Nope.

You'll find a lot of people are exempt from jury duty. I recommend you pick up a text book if you're writing a piece.
