Can mice/mouse climb up the stairs?

I saw a mouse/mice yesterday in my living room, went in and out like 4 times, even when the light was on, is it possible mouses/mices can leave the house? thanks.

yeah, i've had a mouse that could climb my stairs. it sort of depends what kind of stairs you have. they can climb op carpet stairs for sure, but maybe not wooden stairs

They can go anywhere. I've seen them running up the outside walls of houses too.

Mice can come and go anywhere they want.  In fact a lot of them will live in the walls of houses.

They can go anywhere.  They can climb straight up the walls.  They also can go through holes the size of a quarter even smaller.  Just try to keep your counters clean and food put away.  No food source means they have less reason to stay.

yes mice are very intelligent, please if you want to get rid of this mouse set up a mice friendly trap and then release it into the woods http://www.videosift.com/video/Simple-Hu...  simply get an empty toilet tube place over edge of surface (with cheese inside)

place a bucket underneath wait a couple hours/minutes and taadaa you have a cute little alive mouse :) all you have to do is then release it into the woods and watch it scurry away never to bother you again :)
