Can microplasmosis (rat respiratory disease) be passed on to humans?

Today my rat who has the illness microplasmosis bit me to blood and I'm worried that he has infected me with his illness!! Can Microplasmosis be transmitted to humans or not?

Note: his nose, which alwasy bleeds blood, touched my wound. Could his blood pass it on to me!!! I am so horrified that I wont sleep tonight!!

Please help me!

    Sources? For a start, I work in a pet shop and the only disease I have to worry about is TETNUS, not any animal diseases since almost all of them can't be passed along.

  3. No. Mycoplasmosis in rats is caused by a bacteria called Mycoplasma Pulmonis that can live only in the respiratory tracts of rats and other rodents. They are fragile bacteria that cannot survive anywhere else. And they are non pathogenic to humans meaning you cannot get infected by the bacteria. So don't worry.
