Can microsoft send me a version of vista that i already had....?

i downgraded my HP a6457c to xp pro but after some compatibility problems i want to switch back to vista but i dont have a cd

can microsoft send me a copy since i already had a lisence version

Best thing would be to call HP's support line and talk to them about that. I think it would be better not to say you downgraded so they don't get angry at you ;-)

Microsoft doesn't care; they didn't sell you anything. It is HP's responsibility to support your OS.

Tell HP you need an install disc. What were you supposed to do if the hard drive died? Expect to pay modest shipping and handling.
