Can minor's buy cigarettes in Mexico?

Question

I'm leaving for Zihuatenajo(sp?) later this evening, and I was just wondering if minor's can buy cigarettes down there? I know the law says you can't, but you never know about Mexico laws....

I'm in Mexico and if you have money and  you can  reach the counter you can  buy whatever you want  don't worry you wont have any problems i see kids buying beer all the time dont listen to people who dont know ****

Well, formerly the store owners didn't give a d**n and they would sell cigarettes to just anyone, even if it was a minor. But nowadays they do enforce this law and they won't sell you any. Of course you could find someone who is not very observant of the law and they might say yes if you try to buy some, but people are becoming more conscious and now they do try to stop this practice.

h**l yeah you can buy any thing you want even if you get pulled over by the cops .you may give them some money and the'll  let you go.

No, you can't,  but remember, In Mexico the legal age for purchase cigarretes is 18 years and in USA is 21  how old are you???    Good luck.

in mexico city minors cant buy cigarettes in big store like walmart but ppl walking around selling gum and cigarettes might sell minors cigarettes and little convenience store might it really depends on how old u look and if person  the wants to sell it to u

I'm mexican, and well, if you go to a supermarket or a regular store, you can't by cigarrettes if your are under 18.
