Can minors be prescribed Alcohol?

I know WAY worse drugs can be prescribed to minors such as narcotics etc etc.

So can minors be prescribed booze (and if they can what kind of problem would they have to have? just curious)

I doubt that any doctor who wants to keep his license would prescribe alcohol to anyone, much less a minor.

A doctor can prescribe alcohol to minors in certain circumstances, but it would be rare and the pharmacist would look into it before he filled it.  Most likely he would call the physician before filling such a rare prescription.

Uh no, I've never heard of alcohol being used as a treatment for something other than its use in cough syrups.
