Can minors have ciggarettes in there carry ons?

Alright im 16 going from north carolina to utah visit my sister and i was wondering would it be smart to bring my ciggarettes in my carry on or should i just stuff them in my luggage in a pair of jeans or something?

please dont give me c**p about smoking i know the health risks and all that, if i wanted you to be mother i wouldnt be asking my question

Tisk tisk, smoking at 16, going to die of lung cancer!! May god save your soul.. Haha just playing, just throw them in your luggage, or better yet why don't you just have your sister or someone buy you a pack once you arrive so you avoid the whole thing in general.

It isn't illegal for you to have cigarettes.  It's just illegal for you to purchase them.

They're not responsible for that sort of thing, so I'd say it would be o.k. Just to be safe though, put a few in a pack in your carry on, and pack the rest in your luggage.

worst case scenario someone finds them and tosses them out.  i just wouldn't pack to many.

As long as you aren't smoking them it should be fine on the plane it should be fine. I mean I'm 18 and if someone buys alcohol in a store I can carry it out.

I can't see them being able to do anything.

no well i am in canada, and we can't and i travel in the USA and it was a list you can't hold on to in your carry on

Yes your allowed ciggarettes in your carry on.  Only 1 lighter though because of new rules about what you can take on a plane.  They will probabally check through your carry on and pull them out so if you dont want your parents seeing or something i would put them in your suitcase!
