Can misfiring spark plugs

Question

Cause the exhaust pipe coming out the manifold to glow red hot? I have a little obd2 scanner and it gave me the codes stating that spark plug #1 and #4 are misfiring, I went to check them and that's when I noticed the glowing red pipe. It's a 2000 model Plymouth mini van, 4 cylinder. Thanks in advance.

Dont know for sure but I can take a guess. If you are haveing missfires then those cylinders have unburned gas going out of the exhaust pipe the exhaust pipe is so hot that it burnes the gas vapors creating more heat than it should causeing it to glow red.
