  1. yuk get rid of it ,it will always have a stinchy smell

  2. Mold is impossible to remove unless the comforter is white & you can bleach it. Sorry!

  3. take it to a laundrymat and use the large machines.  you may need to wash it twice.

  4. Well with everything I have tried nothing has worked.

Also it would be safer to get rid of it and get a new one, my aunt had all her's mold in her camper and she got it out but then she didn't think it was safe since they got sick when they used them... might just be them but I am not sure.

  5. take it to the laundromat, use one of those big washers, and probably some bleach.

it should be okay, although possibly slightly stained.

oh, you'll want to dry it too.

and then hang it, maybe where it's windy, so that you're sure the insides are dry.

  6. Yes...

Fresh Lemon juice.  Squeeze it on thee mold areas....and if you're in warm/hot climate so much 'the better'.  Put it out in the HOT SUN with the lemon juice spred all over it.

3 things attack mold.  SUN, Lemon juice & bleach.  You don't want to bleach your comforter...so that leaves the lemon & SUN.

    Good luck

  7. Ammonia kills mold spores but I'm not sure if you can get rid of the stains afterward.  Bleach will get rid of the stains but if it's colored then  you might want to try a bleach for colors.Try a laundromat with large commercial washers for comforters and wash it twice-once with ammonia and then with color safe beach.

  8. Things You'll Need:

    White vinegar

    Laundry detergent

    Bleach

    Lemon juice

    Salt

    Mildicide

    Step1

Pour 3/4 cup of white vinegar into the washing machine when you wash clothes that are starting to get that moldy smell. Vinegar is very effective at getting rid of most types of odors, and it will help to kill off the mold, as well.

    Step2

Brush any visible mold off the clothing. Brush off any clothing that may have been exposed to mold, in fact. You'll want to do this outdoors, so the mold spores you brush off will not spread and grow inside your house. After you've brushed off your clothes, let them sit in the sunshine so the heat and sunlight can kill off any remaining spores.

    Step3

Soak visible mold stains in cold water, then wash (with detergent) in hot water. Allow to dry outdoors in the sunshine.

    Step4

Mix 2 tablespoons of chlorine bleach with 1 quart of water. Dab the mold stain with this solution, then allow it to sit for 10 minutes before laundering.

    Step5

Sprinkle the mold stain with salt and moisten it with lemon juice. Allow it to sit out in the sun until dry, then launder.

    Step6

Use a mildicide, or mold-killing spray, to treat your closet, hamper or anywhere else your clothes may have gotten moldy. Make sure you treat all clothing that has been in proximity to the moldy garments.

    Tips :

Lemon juice, salt and sunshine also work to eliminate rust stains.

Use a protective dust mask and gloves when dealing directly with mold, as mold spores can be very bad for your health.

Be sure to test your garment for colorfastness before using bleach.

Using lemon juice to treat your mold stains may itself stain your garment, but lemon stains will usually come out if you wash them right away in hot water.

  9. You'll need to take it to a laundromat and use one of the larger machines.  Use either bleach or bleach 2 (if it's colored).  Spray n' Wash Dual Action stain remover will help (it's really good at getting out anything).  Be sure to dry it.  I had a similar incident happen to me (my washer broke mid-cycle) and this worked for me.  Good Luck!
