  1. Yes.  Not sure.  Most of those sold in stores can.  You might check about the half-beak.

If you don't want fry, just don't buy females.

  2. Everyone is correct, that they can hold sperm, but the time is up to 9 months. Mollies, Swordtails, Platys all do, I don't know about other livebearers. It is hard to control their breeding, they are almost always pregnant, even when you bring them home from the pet store. I kept the population low in my tank, by leaving the fry in the tank, then it becomes survival of the fittest, some get eaten, some do not. It sounds cruel, but it is nature. When the fry get bigger, the fish will interbreed on their own. Good luck.

  3. Yes, livebearers can have as much as 5-6 successive broods in a fertilization. If you do not want too many frys, then you may want to consider leaving the pregnant females in the main tank and let nature takes it's course, only removing the female to a breeding  tank if and when your ready to take on the task of rearing frys.

  4. Yes, all livebearers can hold sperm inside them for up to 3 months and have multiple births.

  5. Yes. All live bearers can. They can hold some for up to 6 months without a male. So they can have 1 batch of fry every month for 6 months.

    Good Luck!!!!
