I recieved this money as a settlement for injuries obtained in a car accident three months ago. The money is gone and my court date is in two weeks.

  1. Child support is based on what two people make earning a living not lump sums they may acquire along the way other than income tax so I wouldn't worry about it being counted only you and her wages. Income tax is only taken if someone is behind on their support so if you have to pay don't ever get behind.

  2. money is gone?

    three month settlement?

where did you find your lawyer, sears?

    lousy settlement and bad lawyer

  3. I think they only ask about income.

Unless your childs other parent brings it up, they might ask you about it, but since support is a monthly obligation, and I am assuming since the money is "gone" it wasnt that much, I dont think it should be an issue.

Good luck--and pay up!  A single parent supporting a child is not cheap..
