I want to get some like senior pics. done again even though I'm much older now! I want to get them done while I'm still somewhat young and attractive. I just have some flaws like some acne scars that I'd like to be airbrushed.

  1. Air brushing is a technique where a special pen that applies pigments with air (like a spray paint) is used to fix individual prints. It does still exist and as always, is very expensive. Retouching is what was used on negatives to eliminate scars and acne and soften facial lines. Once a negative was retouched any number of prints could be made from it.It was much cheaper than airbrushing and used on senior portraits. Unless your photographer is shooting film, retouch is now done in post editing and the majority of photographers make it available. Check with the studio you will use.

  2. Airbrushing is mostly out of date these days, digital image editing programs have taken it's place but some skill is still required to produce a natural looking result.

  3. more like smudge, clone or heal or some other tool in photoshot would be used,

any half decent pro portrait shooter will have "retouching" available to you

  4. Well personally I can get rid of acne and scars, facial piercings lol things like that are pretty simple. Just ask the photographers when you are choosing who will do your pictures; you can always ask to see some of their work too.
