  1. If you are good people will buy the cd. The new format of mp3 and downloads has kind of forced musicians to sell concert tickets though. So if you are good..and you are there..in the bar or on the concert stage...THEY WILL COME..and you will sell cd's or single via internet. It is always good to have the cd's and tshirts at the gigs to sell.

  2. Only time will tell. But there will always be major labels. They may change hands, or names, but they will always be around.

  3. iTunes has NOT killed the music industry.

Today, the Internet opens doors of opportunity for music acts to either get noticed by major record labels, or strike up well on their own WITHOUT the exposure major lables can bring.

So why bother with American Idol---when you can find the next music sensation on MySpace, YouTube or Facebook????

  4. I think many people buy CDs for the cover art and the lyrics as well.  I also know many people that don't have IPods.  So no I don't think ITunes has or will "Kill" the music industry.

  5. I doubt it unless it runs in the family or something

  6. The labels are being caniblized by the internet right now.

I paid less than $50 bucks for my unlimmited download privaliges............so how does that put money in the artist pocket ?

    $50 % 250 songs = 0.20

    $50 % 300 songs= 0.16  etc. etc.
