Can muslim girls wear makeup?

i don't but i've seen many girls that do.

I don't think it's right because if you wear a hijab to try to stay pure and stay away from men, then the makeup just does that. Makeup attracts men. isn't that true?

It's funny how none of you people have backed yourselves up with any evidence. Islam is much more deep and meaningful, you can't just give your own opinions and think thats enough. May I remind you this is dangerous, it could lead people astray.

there isn't actual evidential proof of it being haraam, so to say that it's haram is wrong, but it isn't advised either. i think that if you have pure heart and clear intention then you don't need to worry because your niah (intention) is what's important in islam. surely alah knows best and sees all you do, He knows what's in our minds before we even think about it. regarding the use of light makeup, i think that you don't need it because mashallah, allah made us all beautiful and we should try to look as natural as possible, but as others have mentioned you can dress up and look pretty for yourself and your husband, but remember to be modest outside to avoid the wrong kind of attention. inshalla i hope this is an answer to your qeustion. p.s just remember that niah is what allah looks upon and your deeds(actions) follow this. sorry for any mistakes
