  1. Too early could be allergic and you don't want to deal with an anaphylactic shock! It's scary and can result in death. Wait until baby is older. http://www.parents.com/baby/health/aller...

  2. i really wouldnt chance it i am a father of four and none of my children ate shrimp untill they were over two i have however heard several conflicting stories on when is a good age for eating certain kinds of food but  you are the parent so its your decision but i really hope that you at least talk to a doctor before introducing new kinds of food into your babies diet                                                           hope this helps

  3. i wouldnt. my baby didnt start eating foods like that until he was a little older. stick with foods he can chew easily and doesnt have a choking hazard.

  4. Our pedi recommended no shell fish until after one year.

  5. You are supposed to avoid fish until 1 year because it's a high risk allergy food. But since she's so close to 1, I'd give her a small amount. You shouldn't give her fish that is high in mercury (like tuna.)

Here is a chart of mercury in fish

  6. you are supposed to avoid shellfish until after 1year old.

shellfish allergies are high.  My son developed high shellfish allergy when he was 3 yrs old.
