ruby is 13 months and no longer wants to sleep in a sleepsack. it has been warm, so she has been fine in just her PJs. however, it can get chilly here at night. tonight she woke -- a minor night terror or something, so she laid on me a while with one of her baby blankets -- it isn't too big. i put her to sleep with the blanket on at her waist. at her age, is this now safe? i will take it off before i go to bed if it isn't, but i remember being told that after one year it is safe. is that the case?

  1. Yes, she can sleep with a blanket at this point.  Just make sure it is a light breathable blanket  :)

  2. I live in the mountains, my daughter used a blanket since birth. i was freaked out, but i tucked the side in, not to tight but enough that she could not wrap in them. she slept with baby blanket till she was over 3 years (she is 3.5 now and got her first "real" blanket 2 months ago.) i would say that is fine as long as it is not a fluffy of over padded blanket, baby blankets are pretty safe. i would say at 13 months i would tuck a little bit in the crib at the side, not tight. talk to her doctor over the phone in the morning, they can give the best advise and they get asked everything trust me.

  3. I think she'll be fine.  :)
