Question:

Can my 2 year old switch to a belt positioned booster seat?

she is over 30 pounds and she is so uncomfortable in the 5 point harness seat that she is in right now. like i said, she is only 2. if anyone can help me, i would appreciate it. thanks.

  1. if the straps on the seat she has are in the highest position, and they are still below her shoulder height, then switch her to the booster seat.  it will be safer incase of an accident.  if they are not, keep her in the other seat for a while longer for safety reasons.

    I had all the oposite problems with my daughter.  She's going to be 8 in a month and only weights 45 pounds, and is 45 inches tall.  We had to keep her in seats longer than age limits.

    Edit:

    also check the car seat's label, it will have weight limits on it, if your daughter is more than that limit, then you'll have to change her seat.
