Can my 5.9 v8 engine beat a hemi?

i have a 2002 dodge durango and i was wondering if i could beat a hemi engine

just because an engine is a hemi dosent mean its better...thats just what dodge wants you to think.  

Hemi is short for hemispherical which means the spark plugs are directly in the middle of a hemispherical shaped head

nope not even close theres about a 100hp difference

Not stock.  The Hemi makes a lot more power than your 5.9.

if the 360 is stock it wont beat it the hemi does run more horse power,but then again its up to the driver as to how they could handle the power,i have seen 4 cylinder engines beat v-8s, before,this would be how well the driver handles the power,a good take off means everything,good luck.
