Hi all, My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Florida in a few months, He has a current British passport and a current British driver's license however the student visa he came into the country with is now expired (can't get another b/c he's no longer a student)..... Do you know if he'll have an issue flying within the US? I'm so excited about this trip but don't want it to be ruined when we get to the terminal.

Thanks for your help!

  1. Not getting arrested is never bad advice. As long as he didn't overstay his student visa and attended class as he was supposed to, he shouldn't have any real problem coming back under Visa Waiver. Of course, he can only stay for up to 90 days, and he can't change to any other nonimmigrant status while he's here.

  2. No, this should not be a problem.  His passport is sufficient.  For domestic flights, they don't usually check visas.

  3. He should get his visa fixed...

    Meanwhile, better to drive.
