Can my apartment manager stand at my window to hear whats going on inside my apartment? ive caught her twice!!

one day my uncle came to visit, she followed him and said if i dont see you walk into the apartment you came for im calling the cops!! then about 10 minutes later i caught her standing at my window and when i opened it she walked away really fast!! can she do that???? i feel like she always harrasses my vistitors and invades my privacy!!! is there anything i can do???/

Sounds like this lady has a problem. No, she should not be acting as she does. You can put your complaint in writing and send a copy to her and a copy to the local landlord/tenant authority, letting her know that you're doing so. You'll be on record and it may be enough to rein her in.

No she cannot do that. Ok maybe she can one time... But this sounds like a habitual problem and borderline harassment.

Part of your Leasehold estate included the implied privilege of "quiet enjoyment" in other words without disturbance.

She is clearly disturbing you.

You might want to find a new place to live.  As long as she doesn't ENTER your apartment without permission, she can stand outside wherever she chooses.

She sounds a bit off the wall,and I'd venture you're not going to change her.  Start looking.

Sounds like a serious invasion of privacy, but unless you can complain to her boss regarding her issues, there isn't a whole lot you can do.  I would issue a formal complaint regarding harassment and privacy issues, but seriously consider looking for an apartment elsewhere.  If you have a lease, her behavior might be a valid reason for getting your deposit back without an early lease termination fee.

write a letter to the management company she works for explaining your situatoin. at least you will have it documented for other issues down the road.

Give her something to listen to! Have one of your friends come over and when you think your apt. mngr. is listening start making a bunch of crazy s*x noises and say off-the-wall kinky things.

When you know the nosy ***** is listening, say insane things. For example, act like you're talking on the phone and discussing where to dump the latest body. That should make things interesting. When you pass her, hit her with a penetrating gaze and smile this slight, twisted, "I know you know I hack up bodies, *****" smile. Like I said, it'll make things interesting. Remember: people didn't always have television.
