  1. Definitely if it is causing you to not have a full turn!

Move the ball (at address) further back (toward your right foot if you swing right-handed) in your stance.

Your objective is to have the club moving slightly inside-to-outside more than it is now.

A slice is caused by the clubhead moving from outside-to-inside at impact.  The ball then spins, which is what causes the curve ...

  2. It is hard to tell, since I don't know the extent of your back problems.  I was injured at work 4  years ago, and my game suffered for two years despite practice.  My theory is that you might be stiff and not  swinging properly.  Also you might be subconsciously swinging differently to not cause any more pain.  You need to consult a doctor if you haven't already.  Golf could be doing you more harm.  There are therapy sessions and exercises to do if you are really hurting.  Ask your doctor about this.

  3. With a bad back, I would first get an evaluation of the extent of the " Bad" protion .Would the condition become worse from playing more golf? This is the possibility which should concern the golfer. If one cannot turn properly or swing properly due to the back condition, it would be more sensible to find an activity which doesn't harm the back like swimming. bike riding, whatever. the constant twisting and turning required for the proper swing can take a toll.

  4. Definitley! Its causing you to not get a full rotation. put the ball further up in your stance, you can also sort of fix that slice with your wrists. roll them  to close your club face.

  5. I agree with the first answer. It could be affecting your natural turn and swing thus altering your swing path. If the pain is permanent then you might want to consider altering your swing or swing on a different plane.
