Can my brother get a passport for a cruise if he is a felon? (dui)?

we are going on a family reunion cruise next year for our 20th anniversary and we would like for our family to go with us...ala family reunion. -but my brother has a felony-record . Can he get a passport since they will be required next year

I think he can because if I remember correctly, they do not even ask that question on the application. Now I have no idea what they check on as far as background and all, so I would go to the official passport site and read everything you can about that.

Yes, he can. it looks like even after June 1, 2009, that if you take a cruise beginning and ending in the same u.s. port, passports will not be needed.  however, the cruise companies highly recommend that all passengers have one.  see 2ns site for all passport application info.
