Can my camcorder be used as a webcam?

i have a Sony digital 8 camera recorder and i was wondering if it could be used as a webcam. thanks.

  1. Maybe... If you have the driver for the camera - for webstreaming you would use the USB port. Most camcorders do not allow this capability, so if it does not work, don't be to surprised or disappointed...

    Go to Sony.com, click on "Support" and locate your camcorder using the model number... there may be a link about webstreaming tips/instructions... follow them.
